Helpful coaching, website could improve

I purchased a couple of spiritual coaching sessions and also got a motivational journal. Booking the sessions online was a bit clunky, the calendar widget didn't always load right the first time. But once I got through that, the coaching itself was really insightful and the coach was very understanding. The journal arrived in about 6 days after I ordered it, which was reasonable. I think the site could use a bit of an update for navigation, especially finding all the different program options. But the actual services and products are high quality, so that makes up for it.

Good daily emails

I signed up for the daily wisdom emails a few weeks ago and they've been pretty cool. Just a little something to think about each morning. It's not heavy or anything, just nice reminders to stay on track. Pretty simple to sign up, so that was easy.

Decent for the price

I got the core training program after doing the free trial. It was easy enough to get started, and the material is well-presented. I found the guided meditation recordings helpful. The community forum seemed a bit quiet when I looked, so that could be better. But for what I paid, it's a solid program for personal growth and I'm getting a lot out of it so far.

how does this compare to chabad.org or aish? i'm looking for something that's more focused on practical self-improvement, not just learning about judaism.

G Greg 1 month ago
It's way more practical and self-help oriented than Aish or Chabad, which are more about general Jewish learning and outreach. Warrior Breaking Habits directly applies the wisdom to habit formation and personal growth.

Yeah, Chabad is great for info but not really structured for personal change like this. WBH is definitely more 'how to apply it to your life' rather than just 'what it is'.

hey, was thinking about joining the warrior breaking habits thing. do i need to know a lot about jewish stuff beforehand? i'm totally new to it.

N Nick 1 month ago
Nah, not really. I started with zero knowledge and it was fine. They explain everything as you go, you don't need any prior background.

Agreed. They pretty much assume you're coming in fresh. It's more about the wisdom applied to life stuff, less about religious doctrine.

what's the deal with the free trial? is it actually free or do they make you jump through hoops to cancel?

S Shane Doyle 1 month ago
It's genuinely free. I tried it for 7 days, and cancelling was straightforward through my account settings. No issues.

J Jared N. 1 month ago
Yeah, I did the 7-day trial too, no problem. Just make sure to cancel before it ends if you don't want to be charged.

Thinking of getting the annual membership, does anyone know if there are usually discount codes floating around for that? Or when's the best time to sign up for a deal?

B Beth Kim 4 weeks ago
Discounts are pretty rare from what I've seen. Sometimes they have an intro offer for new members or a free trial period. Keep an eye out around Jan or Sep/Oct though, those are usually peak times for new programs.

I got a small discount through a referral link a while back, but actual codes are hard to come by. The annual discount is already a bit of a deal compared to monthly, so that might be it.

Is the membership a recurring thing, or can you just pay once and be done?

K Kate Brooks 1 month ago
It's a recurring subscription. You pay monthly or annually depending on what you pick, but you can cancel whenever you want.

N Nick Whitfield 1 month ago
Yep, it renews. Just remember to cancel before the next billing cycle if you decide it's not for you.
